About Us

-Dr. Jordan Arbit

I love Chiropractic because it offers me the opportunity to help others every single day and to spend my life serving others. That, in my opinion, is a life well spent. I always leave my shift at the BBCC feeling so good due to the overwhelming appreciation given to us by the patients at the clinic.

I became interested in chiropractic after living in Sri Lanka for five months and seeing that they don't utilize Western medicine much. I had intended to go to medical school, but after returning I sought out chiropractic care for myself. It was then that I knew it was the right path for me, and teaching others about the awesome natural and powerful ability the body has to heal itself makes life so much fun and exciting every day!

I received my first adjustment when I was 17, after being involved in a rear end collision. My chiropractor was Chinese and didn't speak English very well, so we communicated with hand gestures and a lot of smiles and nods of the head. After a few sessions, he slowly held his hand above my stomach and became very serious and said, "You have big problem here."  I realized that he knew that something greater than the pain in my neck was troubling me. I left that day, went straight home and told my mom that I had been bulimic for two years. I immediately began treatment. Because my chiropractor listened to his intuition he helped me heal more than my neck and that experience changed my life. I have always wanted to bring the same awareness of the whole of a person to my work. It's important.

I love working at the BBCC because it gives me a chance to give back to my community. Something interesting you might not know about me: I have three brothers and three sisters and we all love the outdoors- hiking, biking, and being together. Back in 1995 we all hiked the Grand Canyon together along with my 74-year-old father and his wife. We all made it!

I first injured my low back when I was 17. Like many athletes at that age, I thought I was invincible. Additional years of abuse perpetuated the issue. Chiropractic has helped me with my long-standing injuries, and has been a saving grace. I am overjoyed by the successes I have seen at my practice, and believe that everyone deserves to be treated with care and respect.

I love helping patients with Chiropractic! It is so encouraging to treat patients who have been living with injuries and pain for months or even years, not knowing that they could get relief. I can’t imagine not having access to Chiropractic care for myself and my family and I love being able to extend that care to patients at the BBCC.

My first experiences with Chiropractic were during high school and college, playing sports. I was catching for my varsity baseball team and had a collision with a runner who was trying to score. My neck was snapped hard and I couldn't move it at all. My parents took me to their Chiropractor and he helped me get back in shape quickly. During college I hurt my shoulder while playing soccer. Another doctor helped me this time. I was sold on Chiropractic - not only for my health, but also as my career!

-Dr. Chris Maywald

My professional philosophy is to treat all patients with the same dignity and respect that I wish to experience as a patient. I try to look beyond the obvious presentation of my patients and discover the precipitating factors, therefore, empowering the patient to affect life-style changes thus maximizing their health potential.

When I was 16, my mother had a tennis elbow. She got her back adjusted and her elbow got better, almost immediately. I was amazed and wanted to do that for someone myself. I decided to become a Chiropractor because I wanted to help people without drugs or surgery. At the clinic, which I have worked at since day one, the patients pay with their appreciation and that is what I find most rewarding.
